Erling Haaland has restored Manchester City’s lead with a first time finish, in what could be a massive goal in the title race.
Haaland, who hasn’t been in his best goalscoring form in recent months, has stepped up for City when it matters the most, scoring what is a potentially significant strike.
Rodri does well to draw defenders to him inside the box as he attempts to reach a cross but misses it and the ball goes through to Haaland who sweeps it in first time.
It is now for Manchester City to hold on to the lead for the final 20 minutes.
Watch the goal below:
While Haaland has set an almost impossible standard for himself since arriving in England, his form during the 2025–26 campaign has been a topic of intense debate.
After an incredible start to his Manchester City career, the Norwegian striker has endured a uncharacteristically quiet spell in recent months, leading some to question if the tactical shift under Pep Guardiola this season had limited his touches.
However, great players find their level when the stakes are highest. Despite a dip in his usual goal-per-game ratio, Haaland remains the league’s most feared predator.
This strike against Arsenal, a clinical, first-time sweep, takes his tally to 23 goals in the league and 33 across all competitions.
