The 2025 Euros moves to the semi-final stage and the tournament in Switzerland has already delivered some classic moments.
And City stars have been front and centre of all the drama with seven of our players still in contention for the European Championship trophy.
After a thrilling group stage, we take a look a look back at the quarter-finals and how the excitement unfolded for our players.
The defending champions’ hopes of retaining their trophy was under serious threat when they trailed 2-0 to Sweden.
Lauren Hemp and Alex Greenwood started for the Lionesses but England were caught cold as they fell two goals behind before half-time.
City winger Hemp hit the crossbar in the first half but it wasn't until the final 10 minutes that England turned the game on its head.
Lucy Bronze and Michelle Agyemang scored in the space of two minutes to take the game to extra time and finally a penalty shootout.
It was a tension-filled finish with the sides missing nine spot-kicks between them before England triumphed 3-2.
They now face Italy, conquerors of Norway, in the semi-final on Tuesday 22 July at 20:00 (UK) with Jess Park and Khiara Keating also available for coach Sarina Wiegman.
The Swiss have been wonderful hosts of the tournament but had a tough ask against world champions Spain.
With a vociferous home support, they were hoping to cause a shock to the favourites when they met in Berne.
And they had plenty of threat, including new City signing Iman Beney who has been one of the tournament’s most exciting young players.
The 18-year-old played further forward against Spain and caused them plenty of problems with her speed and directness.
Spain finally found a breakthrough in the 66th minute via Athenea del Castillo before Claudia Pina wrapped up a 2-0 win.
City defender Leila Ouahabi was introduced five minutes before the opener to help curb Switzerland’s threat on the break.
The drama kept up to the very last kick of the quarter-finals as Germany clinched their place in the last-four.
After being reduced to 10 players and falling behind to Grace Geyoro’s penalty in the opening quarter of an hour, France looked on course to reach the semi-finals.
But Sjoeke Nusken headed home an equaliser 10 minutes later and Germany dug into to take the game to extra time and penalties.
City defender Rebecca Knaak was among the heroes with a brave and breathless performance in the heart of the back-four to keep the French at bay.
And she stepped up to take one of Germany’s penalties, coolly finishing from the spot as they triumphed 6-5.
New signing Sydney Lohmann, who featured in two group games, will also be in the squad for their semi-final with Spain on Wednesday 23 July at 20:00 (UK).
