Europa League last 16 draw pairs Lyon with Celta Vigo, Lille get Aston Villa

The Europa League last 16 draw was held in Nyon, Switzerland, at UEFA headquarters, setting up ties for 12 and 19 March.

According to L'Équipe, Olympique Lyonnais, who topped the league phase, will face Celta Vigo and occupy the left side of the bracket.

On the opposite side, Lille were paired with English club Aston Villa in a particularly demanding half of the draw. That section also features an all-Italian meeting between Bologna and Roma, plus Stuttgart against Porto and Nottingham Forest versus Midtjylland.

The remaining ties are Ferencvaros v Braga, Panathinaikos v Betis, and Genk v Freiburg.

UEFA will confirm the precise scheduling and kick-off times for each tie this evening.
