Everton and Crystal Palace make enquiries for Watford’s Othmane Maamma | OneFootball

Whilst Watford will not be competing in the Premier League next season, their forward, Othmane Maamma (20), may be, as per a report from French media L’Équipe. 

Maamma played 25 games in the EFL Championship last season, scoring four goals and registering one assist, and during the winter transfer window, he was of interest to Ligue 1 giants Lille OSC. However, he remained at Watford.

Benfica and a Ligue 1 club also interested

Under contract with the Championship club until 2029, he isn’t expected to remain their this summer, given the increasing interest in securing his services. As per L’Équipe, Premier League duo Everton and Crystal Palace are interested in the Morocco youth international. Both have made enquiries. 

There is interest from abroad, too, with Benfica in the race, whilst there is also another, unnamed Ligue 1 club interested.

Given the extensive interest in the player, a departure is expected during the off-season.
