Everton And West Ham Watch Midfielder Amid Interest | OneFootball

West Ham United and Everton are showing interest in ex-Chelsea man Cesare Casadei, whom the club representatives have watched in action in recent weeks.

The Ravenna-born midfield talent spent four years in Inter Milan’s academy before Chelsea picked him up four years ago.

Casadei made 17 senior appearances for the London giants, but never quite managed to make a breakthrough into the first team.

He was on loan at Reading and Leicester when he was in England, but met with criticism during his loan spell with the Foxes from an ex-Leicester star.

Chelsea eventually decided to sell him and he attracted a host of Serie A clubs for his signature, but Torino won the race for the ex-Italy youth international.

The Turin-based outfit paid around £12.5m to the Stamford Bridge outfit in the winter of 2025, securing his services until the summer of 2029.

The 23-year-old central midfielder has been a regular in Serie A, as he has already played 43 times for Roberto D’Aversa’s side.

And now, according to Italian sports daily Tuttosport, Everton and West Ham are interested in the 23-year-old Italian.

And it has been suggested that representatives from the Irons and the Toffees have watched the ex-Chelsea man in action in recent weeks.

West Ham are currently focused on keeping their head above water, but in the background, they are looking at possible options to beef up their midfield when the season ends.

David Moyes’ men are currently chasing European football, as they are sitting eighth in the Premier League table with 43 points, a point behind Brentford.

The Toffees did bring in the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Merlin Rohl last summer to add depth to their engine room options, and are keen on Casadei for the summer window.

The 23-year-old is a key player for Torino, who will not be keen on letting their star midfielder go, with his contract set to run for three more years.

Whether the interested Premier League clubs will look to make a move for the ex-Chelsea man to bring him back to England when the summer window opens remains to be seen.
