Everton loanee Katie Robinson has returned to parent club Aston Villa ahead of schedule.

The Toffees announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

The 23-year-old forward joined Everton on a season-long loan deal from Aston Villa back in July. The Merseyside club indicated that the deal included the option to make the move permanent. With the season now at its mid-point, it has been reported that Robinson’s stay at Everton is over with the player having returned to parent club Aston Villa.

Robinson made 12 appearances for Everton in all competitions. She contributed to notable wins against Liverpool and Chelsea in the first half of the campaign. The player has offered Everton boss Brian Sørensen plenty of versatility in her time on Merseyside, filling various positions at both ends of the pitch where required.

Robinson joined parent club Aston Villa after leaving former club Brighton & Hove Albion in summer 2024. She signed a two-year deal with The Villans. Robinson was a regular for the club in the Barclays Women’s Super League last term.

The player is now expected to re-join the Aston Villa squad as they prepare for the second half of the season with play resuming next weekend.
