Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are set to face off in the UEFA Champions League semifinals, with just 180 minutes separating one of these teams from a spot in the final. Though the two sides met during the group stage, one pundit suggests that match should be forgotten.

The Gunners secured their place in the semifinals with a 2-1 victory over Real Madrid in the second leg of their quarterfinal, completing a dominant 5-1 aggregate win to set up a showdown with PSG.

PSG, on the other hand, held a 5-1 aggregate advantage of their own but had to fight to the finish as the second leg ended with a nail-biting 5-4 aggregate score.

In his column for CaughtOffside, former England striker Stan Collymore, stated that Arsenal believes that the Champions League trophy is for the Gunners to lose as he believes Barcelona and PSG have a major issue to their squad.

“In my opinion, there is nothing stopping Arsenal from winning the Champions League, as there is very little between the four teams left in the competition,” Collymore wrote.

“PSG and Barcelona are two teams that also do not have much experience of being at this stage in the competition with these squads, and Inter Milan are a team that many probably did not expect to get this far. For Arsenal, I think they will need to be even better against PSG than they were against Real Madrid, but can they do it? I think they can.”
