A Tottenham flavour will colour UK World Cup coverage as ex-head coaches Thomas Frank and Ange Postecoglou take BBC and ITV pundit roles. The tournament is in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Frank has not spoken publicly since his February sacking after eight league games without a win, and his take on Spurs’ troubled season will interest fans.

His 34.2 percent win ratio was the worst of any permanent Spurs manager. Some argue the slide began under Postecoglou last season when he prioritised the Europa League, which coincided with a 17th-place finish.

Postecoglou has already offered strong views on Spurs, saying they are "not a big club". He said this on The Overlap. He also discussed his 39-day spell at Nottingham Forest, which ended without a win from eight matches.

The BBC line-up includes Cesar Azpilicueta, Oliver Giroud and Gael Clichy, with Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney and Steph Houghton among the regulars. Kelly Cates, Mark Chapman, Gabby Logan and Alex Scott will front shows from Salford.

ITV will broadcast from a New York studio, presented by Mark Pougatch, Laura Woods and Semra Hunter. The pundits include Juan Mata, Postecoglou, Patrick Vieira, Ian Wright, Gary Neville, Roy Keane, plus Emma Hayes and Bradley Wright-Phillips.

The BBC and ITV share UK rights, and the only match both will show live is the final at the New York/New Jersey Stadium on July 19.
