The Pilgrims have been active in the transfer market so far this summer, with five new additions already to manager Tom Cleverley's squad - Jamie Paterson, Xavier Amaechi, Jack MacKenzie, Caleb Watts and Bradley Ibrahim have all arrived at Home Park, with Ibrahim's move being revealed by FLW.

Signing number six could soon be on the way though, and like with their free transfer agreement for Aberdeen defender MacKenzie, Plymouth are looking north of the border towards Scotland once more.

FLW has been told that Plymouth are in negotiations with St Mirren for Owen Oseni's signature - just half a year he joined the Buddies.

The 22-year-old Irishman was signed by Stephen Robinson during the January transfer window from English National League outfit Gateshead for a reported £120,000 fee, where he had a prolific first half of the 2024-25 campaign, finding the back of the net 13 times in 24 fifth tier outings.

The Irish forward made the jump up to the Scottish Premiership, although he was unable to score a goal for St Mirren in his 10 appearances, with all of his showings coming in the form of cameos off the bench.

Oseni still has three years remaining on his contract at St Mirren Park, but Plymouth are in talks to land his services ahead of their 2025-26 League One campaign - it is unclear though as to whether it would be a loan or permanent switch should an agreement be reached.

Prior to joining Gateshead last summer, Oseni spent a year-and-a-half with Derby County's under-21's, taking time in at non-league sides Nuneaton Town and Rushall Olympic on loan, so it has been a quick rise into professional first-team football - if an agreement can be reached, he will be making the near-500 mile jaunt to Devon from Paisley.
