The FA Cup quarter-finals have concluded with some big results. Crystal Palace comfortably defeated Fulham 3-0 away to advance to the semi-finals in the first match of the weekend on Saturday. Later that night, Nottingham Forest won at Brighton on penalties after the match ended scoreless. Meanwhile, the last remaining non-Premier League club was knocked out at home by Aston Villa after a 3-0 win on Sunday. In the final game, Manchester City defeated Bournemouth 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium to book their place among the final four.
The quarter-final between Fulham and Crystal Palace was the third time this season they had faced each other. Despite their higher position in the table, the home side was once again defeated by their London rivals.
The first fixture between them occurred at Selhurst Park in November 2024, where Palace won 2-0. Then, in the reverse fixture at the end of February, Oliver Glasner's side secured another 2-0 victory at Craven Cottage.
On Saturday, Fulham again had no answer at home as they lost 3-0. Eberechi Eze was the star of the match, scoring first before setting up Ismaïla Sarr for the second. In the second half, Eddie Nketiah made sure of the result by adding a third.
The result means Fulham are winless against Crystal Palace in their last seven matches at Craven Cottage. It also meant that Fulham have now lost five successive times when reaching the FA Cup quarter-finals.
