Fábio celebrates Best Goalkeeper nomination: "Happy to be recognised"

After Fluminense's victory over Mirassol last Thursday (6), goalkeeper Fábio spoke about his nomination for Best Goalkeeper in the world at the FIFA The Best 2025 awards. The player commented on the importance of Tricolor's campaign in the Club World Cup, in which he stood out and was nominated for the category.

It's gratifying, I'm very happy to have been remembered, this recognition is important. It was during this World Cup, where we had the opportunity to represent Fluminense, the colors of Tricolor, and our fans. It was a campaign that drew attention. Individually, we also had the opportunity to stand out. Everyone gave their all in the competition and did their best to achieve victories. So, this recognition is super important,” declared Fábio.

With the experience of their goalkeeper, the Team of Warriors returns to the field against Cruzeiro for the 33rd round of the Brazilian Championship, next Sunday (9), at 4pm, at Maracanã.
