Corinthians have re-signed Fabrizio Angileri on Wednesday afternoon after his contract expired on 31 December 2025. The left-back, a free agent since leaving the club, is back at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava.

"I am very happy to stay here for one more year. Thank you to everyone at the club and the supporters who made it clear they wanted me to stay," he told Corinthians TV.

Angileri arrived in February 2025 after ending his deal with Getafe. He played 42 games, starting 26, and supplied two assists. Talks that had stalled restarted and he has signed to 31 December 2026.

He was key in the Paulista run-in against Palmeiras and part of the 2025 Copa do Brasil winners. "I think it was a very positive year. Now we must keep the same level to compete in the Brasileirão and all the cups."

He alternated between starter and reserve, then earned trust under Dorival Júnior late on, even as a third centre-back. With Hugo Farias out with a right knee meniscus injury, Matheus Bidu was the only left-back, so his return fills a need.

He is on the CBF’s BID but needs reconditioning after no pre-season, and trained again on Wednesday. His last game was the 2-1 Copa do Brasil final win over Vasco da Gama at the Maracanã. His involvement at Red Bull Bragantino on Thursday at 20:30, in round three of the Brasileirão, is uncertain.
