Historic: After 28 Bundesliga matchdays, Borussia Dortmund have suffered just two defeats. The last time they had so few was in the 1965/66 season, so this is the lowest tally in 60 years.

Goalscoring streak I: Coach Niko Kovac’s side have scored two or more goals in all 13 matches this year. This means BVB have improved on their own record by one match, which was set in 1965 and shared with Bayern since 2014.

Goalscoring streak II: Since the 2-0 win against Gladbach on 19 December 2025, the team has now scored at least two goals in 14 consecutive Bundesliga matches – equalling the club record set in 1995.

Last line of defence: Gregor Kobel saved all three shots on target against his former club and kept a clean sheet for the 13th time this season (a Bundesliga record).

Power and precision: Karim Adeyemi smashed the ball into the net at 95.5 km/h from a distance of 12 yards, while Julian Brandt made it 2-0 with a strike at 99.4 km/h from 13 yards.

Well worth the trip again: Borussia Dortmund have beaten VfB Stuttgart for the first time in three and a half years and celebrated their 17th away win against the Swabians. BVB have more away wins against VfB than against any other team.
