Falcón, Adame lead scoring as Puerto Rico defeats Bermuda in Women’s U-17 Qualifiers

ALAJUELA, Costa Rica – The Final Round of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers continued with Puerto Rico earning a 9-nil victory against Bermuda in Group B on Thursday at Costa Rica Federation Field #1 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
Puerto Rico took the lead in the 15’ thanks to a right-footed shot by Aleeya Olmo. The team doubled its lead just minutes after, in the 17’, as Olmo provided the assist to a right-footed strike from Giselle Falcon.
Mía Colón added the third goal in the 25’, before Falcon secured her brace in the 34’.
Jaeda Russell continued the scoring in the second half, adding a fifth for Puerto Rico in the 53’.
Camila Adame, who assisted the Russell goal, joined the scorers list in the 66’ and obtained her brace in the 72’ from the penalty spot.
Zoe Melia added the eight for Las Boricuas in the 81’. Joelle Mateo closed the scoring in the 87’ as Puerto Rico collected a second set of three points.
Group B wraps up play on Sunday, March 22. Puerto Rico will meet the USA in a decisive battle for first place, while Bermuda will take on Haiti.
