In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we’ll highlight 10 players to consider adding to your team ahead of Matchday 34.
As a rule of thumb, we'll try to steer clear of the most obvious picks, instead focusing mainly on players who could offer great value as differentials.
All matches are played on Saturday 15:30 CET, giving Fantasy Bundesliga managers the advantage of seeing all 18 lineups before locking in their transfers.
Vladimir Coufal, Hoffenheim (Defender, 16.17M, 35%)
At this stage of the season, it makes sense to target players from teams with something to play for, and that’s the case for Hoffenheim, who are still in the hunt for Champions League qualification. Coufal has been a reliable option at the back all season and is coming off a 341-point haul against Werder Bremen, highlighting exactly what he can deliver.
Edmond Tapsoba, Bayer Leverkusen (Defender, 17.55M, 24%)
Bayer Leverkusen’s Champions League hopes took a major hit with last week’s defeat to Stuttgart, but they still have a mathematical chance of climbing to fourth place if they beat Hamburger SV at home on Saturday. Die Werkself are expected to dominate possession against a deep-lying HSV side, creating ideal conditions for Tapsoba, given his involvement in build-up play and aerial threat from set pieces.
Maximilian Mittelstädt, Stuttgart (Defender, 21.18M, 14%)
After a 3-1 win over Leverkusen last week, in which Mittelstädt scored from the penalty spot, Stuttgart now have a great chance of qualifying for the Champions League and will be fully focused on taking three points against a struggling Eintracht Frankfurt side on Saturday. Having scored more than 200 points in each of his last five starts, Mittelstädt once again looks full of upside.
Chris Führich, Stuttgart (Midfielder, 7.06M, 5%)
If you’re looking for a differential, Mittelstädt’s teammate Chris Führich could be your man. The German international is in solid form and has been consistently delivering Fantasy returns over a sustained period.
Aleix Garcia, Bayer Leverkusen (Midfielder, 16.76M, 23%)
Similar to Tapsoba, García should benefit from a match in which Leverkusen are expected to be a lot on the ball. The Spanish midfield maestro has scored 200+ points in three of his last four games and returned a strong 214 points against Stuttgart last time out, despite his team’s defeat.
Christian Eriksen, Wolfsburg (Midfielder, 17.58M, 15%)
Wolfsburg also have plenty on the line as they face St. Pauli in a relegation six-pointer. As their most important creative outlet with full set-piece responsibility, Eriksen offers both a solid floor and strong upside in a high-stakes fixture.
Jamal Musiala, FC Bayern (Midfielder, 23.38M, 21%)
Bayern are expected to field close to their strongest XI in their final home game of the season versus 1. FC Köln ahead of the DFB-Pokal final against Stuttgart. That means Jamal Musiala should once again start in central attacking midfield. Pairing him with Michael Olise in midfield could be a strong strategy, with the champions looking to finish the league season in style.
Patrik Schick, Bayer Leverkusen (Striker, 14.46M, 16%)
Leverkusen’s star striker produced one of the biggest hauls of the season with a hat-trick against RB Leipzig, earning 630 points on Matchday 32. While he followed that up with a quieter outing against Stuttgart, that shouldn’t put you off: Schick should still find plenty of opportunities at home against HSV.
Deniz Undav, Stuttgart (Striker, 19.9M, 21%)
Undav was one of the top-scoring forwards last round with 311 points, an impressive return despite playing just 68 minutes. As a highly involved striker capable of both scoring and creating, the German international remains a very strong option.
Luis Diaz, FC Bayern (Striker, 27.78M, 20%)
Diaz was a near-essential pick earlier in the season, but his ownership has dropped to 20% after being rotated more frequently in the league lately. With the Colombia international expected to return to the starting XI against Köln, it could be worth bringing him back for one final push.
