Lewandowski opens up about his future at FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona: Robert Lewandowski breaks his silence on his future
At 37, Robert Lewandowski finds himself at a pivotal crossroads in his career, torn between the desire to keep enjoying the game and the need to weigh his future. With just one year left on his contract at FC Barcelona, growing questions about what comes next, and deep personal reflection, the Polish striker knows a major decision is looming. In an interview with TVP Sport, he admitted he’s in the midst of serious contemplation and revealed that his choice will be announced soon.
“I’ll soon be ready to decide which path I want to take and to see what my options are,” he explained,
emphasizing his calm state of mind.
“I’m relaxed. I don’t know where I’ll be or what I’ll want to do in a few months. There’s no rush and I’m not in a hurry.”
Lewandowski also looked back on his experience in Catalonia, which he sees as a defining chapter of his life. His arrival at Barça in 2022 plunged him into a different culture and a much younger environment than he had known at Bayern Munich.
“Moving to Barcelona and living in a different culture has changed me too,” he acknowledged.
The center-forward says he draws new energy from this rebuilding locker room.
“Seeing so many 18-year-olds at Barça. They give me a real boost of energy. I feel great among them… Some treat me like a father—it’s funny, but very positive.”
As top clubs speculate about his next move, Lewandowski refuses to rush. He wants to take his time, weigh every option, and script the final chapter of his career with clarity.
