Working hand in hand to train coaches: With the launch of a new partnership between FC Bayern and the Bavarian Football Association (BFV), graduates of jointly developed courses will in future receive not only the club's internal training qualification but also the official UEFA C and B licences, which are otherwise awarded and assessed exclusively by the regional associations. The German champions have been heavily involved in international coach training since 2016 and offer special courses for coaches from all over the world – now they're also breaking new ground in licensing alongside the BFV, which runs an average of around 1,300 C and B licence training courses per year.

Jochen Sauer, director of youth development and Campus at FC Bayern: "Our cooperation with the BFV will open up a clear, UEFA-certified path to C and B licences for international coaches from 2026 onwards – in line with FC Bayern's training philosophy. This is a direct contribution to the FC Bayern Pathway and our international approach to talent development."

For BFV president Christoph Kern, the partnership now established with FC Bayern is "another building block in our coach training programme, which is highly regarded. Thanks to the in-depth expertise of our association coaches, who focus on all developments in football, we guarantee modern and innovative training. The fact that we are now also awarding licences together with FC Bayern confirms our high quality standards and will give our training in Bavaria an additional boost."

FC Bayern sees this development as another strategic step forward in the area of international youth development. Graduates of the courses will benefit twofold in future: not only will they acquire in-depth knowledge of FC Bayern's training philosophy, but they will also receive an internationally recognised UEFA licence. This will prepare them optimally for the demands of modern football and enable them to apply their knowledge worldwide.

The training and development of international coaches is a central component of the FC Bayern Pathway, which was developed specifically for international talent. In addition to the targeted promotion of young players, the qualification of coaches forms the basis for sustainable success and the further development of football on a global level.

With this cooperation, FC Bayern and the BFV are sending a strong signal for international coach development and once again underlining their role as active contributors to the development of young talent. Further information is available here:
