Top clubs like FC Bayern always keep a close eye on the transfer market and look for suitable opportunities. However, one player who has been linked with FCB is now expected to sign a contract extension soon.
We’re talking about Senny Mayulu, a midfielder for PSG. Many top clubs are said to have been monitoring him, as reported by journalist Fabrice Hawkins. In addition to the record champions, Chelsea FC is also said to have been specifically interested.
These clubs had reportedly hoped there might be a chance for a transfer if talks about a new contract stalled.
Although Mayulu is highly regarded in Paris, he hasn’t yet played a major role this past season. That’s why Bayern, among others, sensed an opportunity.
According to Hawkins, it was always Mayulu’s wish to stay at PSG, but the right conditions had to be in place. That is now clearly the case, as a new contract running through the summer of 2031 appears to be merely a formality.

While it’s unclear just how serious the record champions’ interest was, it’s still intriguing that Bayern is repeatedly linked to talented midfielders. Kennet Eichhorn was also a hot topic, and Ayyoub Bouaddi of OSC Lille was rumored to be on Bayern’s radar.
This could mean that the club hasn’t ruled out signing another player for the midfield after all—at least not if a very good opportunity were to arise on the market.
For now, however, other deals take priority. Ismael Saibari of PSV Eindhoven and Nathaniel Brown of Eintracht Frankfurt are expected to move to Munich shortly. In addition, Bayern is in talks with several players about contract extensions. Things are looking good with Konrad Laimer, and Harry Kane and Michael Olise are expected to follow suit.
