FC Porto share details of Borges Feyenoord transfer

Gonçalo Borges was the final player to step out of Feyenoord’s transfer helicopter during the open day on Sunday after joining from FC Porto. The Portuguese club shared the transfer details on its official channels.

Borges’ signing came as a surprise not only to Feyenoord supporters but also to the players themselves. The Portuguese player signed a four-year contract in Rotterdam. A report on FC Porto’s website reveals that Feyenoord paid 10 million euros to bring Gonçalo to the Eredivisie.

That amount could rise to 11 million euros thanks to bonuses. If Feyenoord sell Borges on in the future, FC Porto are entitled to a share of the profits. The Portuguese giants have agreed on a 15 per cent resale percentage.

The 24-year-old Borges made 88 appearances for FC Porto, scoring two goals and providing eight assists.
