FC Porto women's team make history in Portuguese Cup clash

In Pedroso, the FC Porto women's team achieved a historic victory: although the result wasn't the most expressive, the significance lies in the opponent. Guided by Daniel Chaves, the Porto team defeated Racing Power, a First Division team, by 3-0 and advanced to the fourth round of the Portuguese Cup – it is the first time FC Porto has defeated a team from the top tier.

Maria Negrão opened the scoring in the 27th minute with a penalty, maintaining that result until halftime. In the second half, Lara Perruca scored in the 49th minute on a counterattack, and Lily Bryant completed the triumph in the 68th minute following an indirect free kick.
