Antwerp’s top scorer is on the radar of both FC Twente and NEC. Former QPR attacker Tjaronn Chery has been a revelation for the Great Old and although he is approaching 37 years of age appears to have plenty left in the tank. The Suriname international leads the Belgian side with 18 goals this season. According to Het Nieuwsblad, both Eredivisie sides are keen to bring him back to the league. However, Chery himself said that, if Antwerp offer him a deal until 2027 he will more than likely stay with the club. None of the three sides are guaranteed European football, although Antwerp seem the most likely to achieve this if they can beat Charleroi over two matches.
Chery, despite his advancing years, is having the best season of his career so far. NEC had him on loan for the second half of last season so would be keen to see him return once again. For Twente, the loss of Sem Steijn this summer means they will need to bring in players that can replace his goals.
