Federico Chiesa has endured a difficult spell at Liverpool.
He joined back in September 2024 on a four-year deal from Juventus. The winger, 28, signed a contract worth around £150k per week - after Richard Hughes agreed to pay the Italian giants an initial £10m for his signature.
Chiesa was out of shape when he arrived on Merseyside and it took him some time to emerge in the first-team picture. And despite a Premier League winners’ medal in the 2024/25 season the versatile attacker has never truly won over Arne Slot.
Chiesa has made only THREE top-flight starts in just over a season at a half at Anfield and it’s no surprise that he has been so often linked with a return to Serie A.
Over the course of the January window it was reported that Liverpool and Juve were locked in talks over a potential return to Turin.
Liverpool’s asking price was stated as between £21m and £26m - not an easy price to reach for an Italian team especially considering Chiesa’s hefty wages.

No deal was ultimately done with the Old Lady eventually turning to Jeremie Boga of Nice as a cut-price option. But their interest has never truly gone away - with Roma and Napoli also thought to be in the running for Chiesa in summer.
report in Tutto Juve has now demonstrated just how much Juventus are willing to pay.
And if Richard Hughes is indeed intending to get rid of Chiesa in the summer transfer window then he is going to have to make a compromise on the fee.
The report claims Chiesa is keen on returning to the Allianz Stadium but that Juve can only offer HALF of what Liverpool want - meaning they will be lucky to make a little more than their money back on Chiesa if he’s sold.
The player was reported to been keen on a January move in order to get back into the Italy squad for March’s FIFA World Cup qualification playoffs.
