Federico Dimarco has broken the Serie A single-season assists record, reaching 17 after creating Marcus Thuram's opener for Inter against Torino on Sunday.
According to L'Équipe, the left-back's 17th assist is the highest tally ever recorded in a Serie A campaign.

On matchday 34, Dimarco delivered a superb cross to the back post, where Thuram headed in on 23 minutes.
It is a striking return for a defender who had never previously supplied more than seven league assists in a season.
Before this season, Papu Gomez held the benchmark with 16 for Atalanta in 2019-2020.
