A perfect assist, crucial for the victory in the league. Federico Dimarco celebrated his 150th appearance in all competitions for Inter with a classic cross, delivering a magical ball to Lautaro Martinez's head for the 1-0 win against Venezia.
So that's 150 matches in the Inter shirt for the 26-year-old left winger who made his debut for the club in 2014 at the age of 17.
From Qarabag to San Siro. Federico Dimarco's journey with Inter actually began at the age of seven and continued through the youth ranks to his debut in the Europa League on 11 December 2014, Qarabag vs. Inter, where he came on for Danilo D'Ambrosio.
It’s a dream come true for someone who has always cheered for and supported the Nerazzurri, both on the youth fields and in the stands. His Serie A debut came on 31 May 2015, in Inter vs. Empoli, where Dimarco replaced Rodrigo Palacio.
These were years of beginnings, following his development in the youth sector and success with the Primavera team. He had stints with Ascoli, Empoli, Sion, and then Parma. In 2019, he returned home to the Nerazzurri for a second debut on 23 November 2019, in Torino vs. Inter. In the Coppa Italia on 14 January 2020, he made his first start for Inter with a 4-1 win against Cagliari.
After a loan to Hellas Verona, he returned to Inter permanently in 2021. His first goal came on 12 September 2021, with a stunning free kick against Sampdoria. His story with the Inter shirt took off as he became a key player in Inzaghi’s tactics, initially contributing defensively and then establishing himself as a left winger in a five-man midfield.
These years have been filled with triumphs, leading him to the national team, where he has dazzled with his left foot with 26 caps and 3 goals. With Inter, now that he has reached 150 appearances, he has scored 15 goals, some of which were stunning and crucial, such as the one in the Supercoppa derby or against Juventus in the Coppa Italia. His goal from near the halfway line against Frosinone also stands out in the history books.
Dimarco's achievements include a wealth of trophies, including the 2023-24 Scudetto, 2 Coppa Italia titles, and 3 Supercoppa Italiana titles.
His stats reflect his contributions with 110 appearances in Serie A, 9 in Coppa Italia, 27 in European competitions with 26 in the Champions League and 1 in the Europa League, and 4 in the Supercoppa Italiana. Dimarco's 150 appearances with Inter represent a solely Nerazzurri story.
