Palmeiras returned to training hours after a 4-0 defeat to Novorizontino, the heaviest loss of the Abel Ferreira era, with positive news on injuries.
According to Globo.com, Felipe Anderson completed Wednesday morning’s full session at the Academia de Futebol. He has not played in 2026 after spraining his ankle in November’s Libertadores final against Flamengo.
Vitor Roque also trained throughout, still following an individual programme. He came off in Saturday’s match against Mirassol with knee pain. No injury was detected, so he was rested on Tuesday.
Andreas Pereira, who sustained a shoulder trauma against Santos, took part in most of the workout and is at an advanced stage of recovery.
Lucas Evangelista and Figueiredo worked separately with the ball as they transition physically alongside academy players. Those who played more than one half in the defeat did indoor work in the club’s recovery and neuroscience centre.
The defeat ended Palmeiras’ perfect start in the Paulistão and the team sit third, within the qualifying positions. Next up is São Paulo on Saturday at 18:30 Brasília time at Arena Crefisa Barueri.
