Fenerbahçe are confident of concluding a deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Milan Škriniar (30), according to a report from Fabrizio Romano.
Škriniar, out of favour at PSG, joined Fenerbahçe on a loan deal in January. The loan deal proved a success for the centre-back, who after 18 months on the periphery of the PSG set-up, played a prominent role during his six months in Turkey. However, the deal did not include an option to make the deal permanent.
Škriniar has therefore returned to PSG, however, he does not feature in the European champions’ plans, especially given the club’s designs on signing another centre-back. Another departure is therefore a given. He could be returning from whence he came.
As per Romano, Fenerbahçe are confident of bringing the former Inter Milan centre-back back to the club. Talks are underway between the two clubs and further talks are scheduled in the coming days.
