Min-Jae Kim could leave Bayern Munich this summer, with Fenerbahce exploring a reunion. According to kicker, the Istanbul club have enquired and want to sign the 29-year-old in the next window.

Initial talks are said to have taken place, and Bayern are seeking around €25 million. Kim shone for Fenerbahce in 2021/22 before a €19 million switch to Napoli, and any return to Türkiye would require a substantial pay cut.

Bayern would not stand in his way, with Kim third in the centre-back pecking order last term behind Dayot Upamecano and Jonathan Tah. Josip Stanisic and Hiroki Ito remain in the squad, though Ito could depart for €20 million after two injury-hit seasons.

"I always thought that playing regularly was the solution, but now I'm happy with my role as a challenger," he told Footballist. "I've never experienced a long spell without playing, so the adjustment was tricky at first. Over time, though, I've seen the upside," the South Korean international added.

Kim is under contract until 2028 and was on the agenda in both the last summer and winter windows. Reports then suggested he would wait until this summer to assess his situation, which has not improved, with Tah and Upamecano still first choice. Bayern’s stance remains the same, if a suitable offer arrives, he is likely to leave at the end of the season.

Juventus, AC Milan and leading Turkish sides, including Galatasaray and Besiktas, are monitoring, with Juventus reportedly already making contact.
