Barcelona secured a crucial 2-1 victory over Real Valladolid, with midfielder Fermin Lopez scoring the match-winning goal.
Despite a difficult start, with Valladolid taking the lead early in the sixth minute, Barcelona displayed remarkable resilience, proving that they will fight until the end of each match as they inch closer to the La Liga title.
With only four games left in the season, Barcelona’s hard-fought win has put them seven points clear of rivals Real Madrid, who will face their own challenge this weekend.

Fermin was quick to highlight the importance of perseverance throughout the match. “The team doesn’t give up, they fight until the end, no matter how the game is going,” he said after the match.
“I think we improved in the second half and picked up three important points.”
The Blaugrana were initially thrown off balance by Valladolid’s early goal, but Fermin praised his team’s ability to regroup and stay focused.
“The game became difficult with the goal, with some luck from Valladolid. There was little space, and we struggled to create play, but we improved in the second half,” he reflected.

With only four La Liga matches remaining, the next challenge for Barcelona will be a crucial El Clasico against Real Madrid at Montjuic.
While the victory over Valladolid was important, Fermin is already turning his attention to upcoming fixtures.
“First, we have to think about Inter. In Milan, we’re playing a real final, and we have to go all out. It’s going to be tough, and we have to prepare for the match with enthusiasm and focus,” said the midfielder.
When asked whether a potential win against Real Madrid next Sunday would mark Barcelona’s La Liga title triumph, Fermin remained confident, saying,
“Anything can happen, but we’re going to try to prepare for the Clásico after Inter. I’m sure we’ll get the three points.”
Gerard Martin, who assisted Fermin in scoring the winner, was also instrumental in the team’s performance. The defender acknowledged that the team had to adjust after Valladolid’s early goal, but their fluidity improved as the match went on.

“The goal made things difficult for us at the start, and we struggled to get into those areas, but we adjusted well and were more fluid in the second half,” said Martin.
“I think we moved the ball faster from side to side, we knew how to finish plays, and the goals came.”
As Barcelona now shift their focus to the Champions League semi-final second leg against Inter Milan, the squad remains aware that each match is a crucial step toward achieving more this season.
“In the end, rotations always work out, but today was a difficult game because everyone assumes it is won, but there is never an easy opponent,” said Martin.
“Tuesday is one final, the weekend is another, and so on until the end.”
With everything to play for, Barcelona’s players and staff are united in their pursuit of both La Liga and European glory.
