Fernandes And Dorgu Get 7.5 | Manchester United Players Rated In Hard-Fought Victory Vs Chelsea

Manchester United entertained Chelsea at Old Trafford earlier this evening as they looked to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Red Devils made a bright start to the game and found themselves at a numerical advantage in the fifth minute when Robert Sanchez was sent off by the referee. Bruno Fernandes gave his team the lead in the 14th minute before Casemiro doubled Man United’s advantage in the 37th minute. Casemiro was sent off in the latter stages of the first half as Ruben Amorim’s men went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.
Trevoh Chalobah got a goal back for Chelsea in the 80th minute, but the Red Devils hung on and earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory at the Theatre of Dreams.
Let’s take a look at how each Manchester United player performed during the clash against the Blues.
Bayindir was hardly tested during the game but did enough to limit the opposition to just one goal.
CB: Matthijs de Ligt – 7/10
He performed his defensive duties well and won a couple of aerial duels as well.
CB: Harry Maguire – 7/10
Maguire was a rock at the back and ended the game with an assist to his name.
CB: Luke Shaw – 7/10
He made two crucial interceptions inside his half and cleared the danger when he could.

RM: Noussair Mazraoui – 7/10
Mazraoui got stuck in with a few solid tackles but lacked quality in the Chelsea half.
CM: Casemiro – 6/10
He scored a good goal in the 37th minute but was sent off after a late challenge in the latter stages of the first half.
CM: Bruno Fernandes – 7.5/10
Fernandes was not shy of having a strike at goal and did well to score the opening goal in the 14th minute.
LM: Patrick Dorgu – 7.5/10
He came back to defend when needed and was a threat going forward. Dorgu has got an assist to show for his efforts.
RAM: Bryan Mbeumo – 7/10
Mbeumo caught the eye at times but failed to register a goal.
LAM: Amad Diallo – 6.5/10
He managed to shine at times but failed to threaten the Chelsea goal.
ST: Benjamin Sesko – 6.5/10
Sesko worked hard but never looked like he would score.
Substitutes:
CM: Manuel Ugarte – 6.5/10
He added some energy to Amorim’s midfield.
ST: Matheus Cunha – 6.5/10
Cunha retained possession well for his team.
LAM: Mason Mount – 6/10
His impact on the game was minimal.
