In the recent game against Levante, Barcelona had to make a massive comeback to win all three points. Initially trailing by 2 goals at half-time, La Blaugrana gradually managed to mount a comeback during the second half. However, every single player had to play a part to make it happen.

One player who also showed up in a crucial moment was Ferran Torres, as it was his goal that equalised the score for the Catalan giants. Even after the game, he revealed more about what Hansi Flick did at half-time to help his team overcome such a hurdle.

As quoted by Mundo Deportivo, Ferran Torres revealed what Hansi Flick had told the squad at half-time when they were trailing 2-0 against Levante, and how it enabled the team to mount a heroic comeback:

“He gave us a couple of tactical tweaks because we weren’t positioned quite right and, most importantly, he told us we had to show character, that winning mentality. We came out well and were effective.”

Torres also spoke about what he can offer to the team, and that he was willing to fight for his opportunities despite the level of competition in the squad:

“I’ve always believed I can be important in this team. I see myself as capable of being a starter, and whenever the coach thinks it’s the right time, I have to take advantage of it. The competition is very high, but that’s a good thing.”

Speaking about his goal, the Spanish forward credited Pau Cubarsi with helping him out and even took on the blame for squandering a great chance during the first half:

“In the first-half chance, I was guilty of just wanting to smash the ball; I should have placed it better. On the second goal, which I just saw again, Cubarsí made a very good block, and I think it was a great goal and very important for the team.”

The Spaniard continues to make a good case for himself, even with Robert Lewandowski now having returned from his injury. With two goals in two games, Ferran Torres is surely making things difficult for Flick when it comes to the selection process at FC Barcelona.
