Three superb goals and three precious points in Rotterdam against Feyenoord kept our Europa league hopes alive, and it has to be said, credit’s due where credit’s due, we were absolutely superb on the night and fully deserved the victory.

Every single player played their part, and showed great character, especially after going a goal down so early on.
As bad as we were against FC Midtjylland, we were excellent this evening as we dominated proceedings for the majority of the game.
Every player did their bit, but the likes of Colby Donavan was superb, as was Arne Engels who stood out in the middle of the park, but Daizen Maeda was my player of the match.

Look away now Luke
Daizen looked back to his brilliant self as he gave everything on the night, and was hugely instrumental in two of the goals, it was a top performance from the Japanese striker.
It bodes well for our European aspirations, and also gives us a great confidence booster heading into Sundays vital clash in Edinburgh against Hibs.
A big well done to Martin O’Neill and the players, a much deserved victory. The interim Celtic manager is standing aside after Sunday more’s the pity in some ways as he has got Celtic playing again, tactics are better, confidence higher and self belief through the roof.

Somewhere Wilfried Nancy will have been watching tonight’s action and you can bet he’ll have been pleasantly surprised at what he was watching.

Celtic’s three away matches against St Mirren, Feyenoord and Hibs are at the two down one to go stage and so far so good in terms of the results. A third win, in what would looks like being Martin O’Neill’s final match in charge of the team, would be a fine way to send Martin on his way back into peaceful punditry and expensive coffee drinking in London.

Or perhaps Celtic will have other ideas. We’ll know soon enough. No idea how much the club has paid him for taking temporary charge but it’s certainly been money well spent.
