According to Superdeporte, Feyenoord will pay around €10m to sign 21-year-old Valencian striker Nacho Ferri after his standout year in Belgium.
Ferri left Alzira to pursue a different route into the professional game, bypassing Spain's major academies and joining Eintracht Frankfurt. He developed after debuting with the German club, then delivered the best campaign of his young career in Belgium.
He scored 11 goals and supplied two assists for Westerlo in the Belgian top flight, underlining his finishing and penalty-box instincts. That return has earned a step up with one of the Netherlands' top sides.
Eredivisie clubs keep a close eye on Belgian breakthroughs, and the Rotterdam side will offer him a platform at a top team that also plays the UEFA Champions League.
In the title race he will cross paths with another Valencian, Yarek Gasiorowski, at PSV Eindhoven, the reigning champions. Ferri's move sets up a notable Valencian duel with the Polinyà del Xúquer centre-back.
Ferri is a tall, powerful centre-forward who links play well outside the box, using his back-to-goal work to bring runners into attack. At 21 he has been thriving with trust and minutes, showcasing his technical qualities.
