Feyenoord host Heracles in the Eredivisie at Stadion Feijenoord on 25 January 2026, with the hosts looking to secure a top-three place while the bottom club chase precious survival points.
Feyenoord have dominated this fixture in recent years, including a 7-0 away win in October 2025. The hosts sit third and carry the stronger season profile, while Heracles arrive 18th and looking to halt a damaging run.
Recent form points in opposite directions. Feyenoord drew at Heerenveen before a 4-3 home defeat by Sparta Rotterdam, then responded with a 3-0 European win over Sturm Graz. Heracles lost three straight league games to Heerenveen, Sparta and FC Twente, and were knocked out of the cup on penalties after a 2-2 draw at Go Ahead Eagles.
Team news is significant on both sides. Feyenoord list defenders Gernot Trauner, Bart Nieuwkoop, Thomas Beelen, Givairo Read and Malcolm Jeng as out, with forward Gaoussou Diarra also sidelined. Heracles are without Jeff Reine-Adelaide, goalkeeper Fabian De Keijzer, Erik Ahlstrand, Lorenzo Milani, Yvandro Borges Sanches and Sem Scheperman, while Ajdin Hrustic is suspended.
On the pitch, the hosts' attack has produced 47 league goals at 2.5 per game, with Ayase Ueda leading the division on 18 and support from Sem Steijn and Anis Hadj Moussa. That threat could test a Heracles defence that has conceded 48 with only one clean sheet. Walid Ould-Chikh's supply may be key if the visitors are to counter.
Feyenoord could consolidate, and potentially improve, their third place standing with a win. Victory for Heracles would cut the gap to safety and may lift them off the bottom depending on other results.
