According to L'Équipe, the FFF refereeing department used its weekly debrief to uphold the controversial penalty awarded to PSG in the 4-0 win at Nice, while offering no comment on the disputes from Marseille-Lille and Lyon-Monaco.
It said that after a PSG corner, their No. 14's shot struck Nice No. eight's left arm in the area, which the referee initially missed. After a VAR alert, Willy Delajod gave a penalty, judging the arm made the body bigger and breached Law 12, and Nuno Mendes opened the scoring.
The slip spotted by Nice coach Claude Puel at Lee Kang-in's corner was deemed irrelevant. The department added there was no conclusive footage of a double touch and, under IFAB VAR protocol, improperly taken restarts in such situations are not reviewable.
It also backed VAR for disallowing Rennes' Anthony Rouault's late goal against Metz for offside in the 0-0 draw.
In Marseille-Lille, Mason Greenwood went off injured on 18 minutes after a heavy tackle by Calvin Verdonk, who was only booked by Benoît Bastien. Lille's Nathan Ngoy was also shown yellow for a high boot that caught Paixão.
At Groupama Stadium, François Letexier awarded Monaco a penalty despite a shirt pull by Denis Zakaria on Endrick at the start of the move. Lyon argued that should have cancelled the penalty.
