The Round of 32 has been confirmed at the FIFA U17 World Cup 2025 in Qatar.

A total of 32 team progressed from the group phase which concluded on Monday, with the top two team from each of the 12 group joined by the eight best third-placed side.

Egypt face Switzerland test

Egypt qualified as one of the tournament’s best third-placed teams after collecting four points in Group G.

The Young Pharaohs will now meet Switzerland who finished as the eighth-best group winner in round of 32 clash that promises to test Ahmed El Kass’s men.

If Egypt advance, they will face the winner of Ireland vs Canada in the Round of 16.

Morocco to battle USA

Morocco also advanced among the best third-placed teams having endured mixed group campaign that included 16-0 thrashing of New Caledonia but heavy defeats to Portugal (0-6) & Japan (0-2).

The Atlas Cubs will take on the United States in the Round of 32. A win would set up potential showdown with Zambia or Mali in the next round.

Tunisia meet Austria

Tunisia, meanwhile secured passage from their group after 6-0 rout of Fiji before narrow losses to Argentina (0-1) and Belgium (0-2). The Carthage Eagles will face Austria with the winner meeting either England or South Korea in the round of 16.
