Supporters of La Liga giants Real Madrid have taken firm aim at star striker Kylian Mbappé, in the aftermath of their side’s latest outing.

Los Blancos were of course back in action on Friday evening.

Turning focus back towards matters on the domestic front, Álvaro Arbeloa’s troops welcomed Girona to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done on an evening to forget for the hosts, however, Real saw the final nail put in the coffin of their title hopes.

After Federico Valverde put Los Merengues in front in spectacular fashion, Thomas Lemar ensured that Girona emerged with a share of the spoils just beyond the hour mark.

Across the 90 minutes, a whole host of Arbeloa’s players failed to live up to expectations with the level of their respective performances.

As alluded to above, though, none has since been singled out for more widespread criticism than Kylian Mbappé.

The Frenchman endured something of an evening to forget on Friday, wasting goalscoring opportunities, and struggling to link play in the final third.

So much so that members of the Real Madrid fanbase have since gone as far as to label Mbappé ‘finished’:
