Flamengo closed July with a draw at Internacional in the Brasileirão, finishing the month with a 71.4% return across seven games.

The Rio side posted four wins and three draws, scoring 16 and conceding seven as the schedule mixed friendlies with league action. As reported by Coluna Do Fla, the month combined a mid-season tour and domestic commitments.

During the World Cup pause, Flamengo staged a series of international friendlies, starting with three matches in the Algarve, Portugal. They drew 2-2 with River Plate, beat Lausanne-Sport 2-0, then defeated Benfica 2-1 to lift a symbolic tournament trophy over the hosts.

Back in Brazil, they faced Olimpia at Brasília’s Mané Garrincha and won 4-2, with Leonardo Jardim’s side maintaining momentum.

On resumption of official duty, Flamengo beat Chapecoense 4-0 away in the Brasileirão, then drew 1-1 with São Paulo at the Maracanã. The restart stayed unbeaten, though points were dropped in the league.

The squad now has roughly 10 days off, as next week is reserved for the Copa do Brasil and Flamengo are already out. Their next match is scheduled for 9 July against Vitória at the Maracanã, kicking off at 19:30 Brasília time.
