Flamengo turn attention to Sampaio Corrêa in the Campeonato Carioca on Saturday, with a win the aim.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Filipe Luís will finalise the starting XI after Friday’s session. The likely line-up is Rossi, Varela, Vitão, Léo Pereira and Ayrton Lucas, with Pulgar, Jorginho and Carrascal behind Plata, Lino and Pedro.

The match forms part of the sixth round of the State Championship.

The club are monitoring the market for an attacking addition for the 2026 season and have interest in Bournemouth striker Evanilson. Bournemouth are demanding €50 million to release the striker, around R$310.3 million at current rates.

Recent opponents have leaned on frequent fouls, time-wasting and extra motivation when facing Flamengo. Last Sunday, Corinthians coach Dorival Júnior, fresh from lifting the Supercopa, also outlined further elements he considers key to beating the four-time Libertadores champions.
