Flamengo lead big home wins since 2021 as Recopa decider awaits

Flamengo have posted more big home wins than any other Brasileirão side since 2021. That record could matter on Thursday as they chase the Recopa Sul-Americana.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Flamengo lead the ranking with 41, ahead of Palmeiras on 39, Bahia 35, Atlético-MG 34 and Fortaleza 34.

Flamengo lost the first leg 1-0 in Argentina, so they must win by at least two goals to take the trophy in normal time.

Their most recent heavy win at home came in the Campeonato Carioca semi-final against Madureira. De La Cruz, Arrascaeta and Luiz Araújo scored at the Maracanã, further extending their advantage in the ranking covering 2021 onwards.

Filipe Luís’s side face Lanús at 21:30 Brasília time on Thursday 26. The Recopa Sul-Americana title will be decided at the Maracanã.
