Flamengo have been ordered by the courts to pay former full-back Pará in a labour case dating back to 2021. The club must pay double for weekly rest and for public holidays worked, an amount initially set at R$500,000, which will also reflect in holiday pay, 13th salary and FGTS.
According to O Globo, Pará had sought around R$4 million, citing arena rights differences, integration of bonuses known as bichos, and double holiday pay among other items. The judge concluded he did not enjoy the 24 consecutive hours of rest required by the Lei Pelé.
Pará joined Flamengo on loan from Grêmio in January 2015. The move was made permanent in 2016.
He made 205 appearances for the club, scoring four goals and providing 18 assists.
He won four trophies with Flamengo, two Campeonato Carioca titles in 2017 and 2019, plus the Copa Libertadores and Campeonato Brasileiro in 2019. He left in August 2019 to join Santos.
