Flamengo will supply the most players to Brazil’s 2026 World Cup squad and has become the national team’s amulet for the title.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Brazil have called up four Flamengo players, Alex Sandro, Danilo, Lucas Paquetá and Léo Pereira, while Samuel Lino, Pedro and Léo Ortiz, all on the provisional list, missed out.

The last time a Brazilian club led the call-ups was in 2002, when Brazil won the World Cup to secure a fifth title.

In each of those five triumphs, the club with the most selections was Brazilian.

The Flamengo contingent will report on 27 May at Granja Comary in Teresópolis, Rio de Janeiro, and from that date will be available exclusively to the national team.
