Flamengo face Palmeiras on Saturday 23 in the 17th round of the Brasileirão, but will be without Danilo after his dismissal in the 1-1 draw with Athletico-PR.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Erick Pulgar and Gonzalo Plata are back in training after shoulder and knee injuries and will be reassessed by Leonardo Jardim's staff on Friday. If all goes well, both could be named in the squad.

The rivalry has intensified in recent years, and Palmeiras will not face the player who left them runners-up in the 2025 Libertadores final in Lima.

Billed as an early final, the match pits the top two, with Palmeiras on 35 points and Flamengo on 31. A home win would cut the gap to one point, and Flamengo have a game in hand.

Kick-off is 21:00 Brasília time at the Maracanã, with live coverage on Premiere pay-per-view.
