While the international break has brought club football to a halt for the next couple of weeks, FC Barcelona manager Hansi Flick does not plan on remaining idle during the period.

The 4-1 defeat to Sevilla before the international break, days after the Catalans lost 2-1 to PSG in the UEFA Champions League, has spurred the German tactician into action to arrest the slump at the earliest possible.

As such, AS reports that Flick will use the two-week international break to meet with his staff, fitness coaches, medical team, and even players in search of immediate solutions.

Indeed, the coach plans to hold discussions with every department and area linked to the first team to implement new strategies and identify solutions and bounce back strongly when football resumes later this month.

One of the first meetings called will be with the fitness department, led by Julio Tous. Flick has noticed a drop in his players’ intensity in recent matches and wants to give this area a renewed push.

The Barcelona head coach has also scheduled a meeting with the medical team to assess the condition of the injured players, such as Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez.

Flick has also scheduled a session with his assistants to discuss tactical solutions to counter opponents who have recently found ways to trouble Barcelona, particularly through man-marking on Pedri.

Finally, Flick intends to hold individual meetings with several players, such as Ronald Araujo, to help them recover from recent poor displays.

Some within the club have even suggested the possibility of a change in system to stop the bleeding of chances being conceded, but Flick is not in favour of major changes.

There will also be a meeting with Deco and the rest of the sporting commission, with the plans for the January window likely to be discussed.
