Fluminense have ended negotiations for Botafogo midfielder Jeferson Savarino, 28, after a delayed response from the player.
According to Meu Timao, people close to his family say he is drawn to joining Corinthians in 2026, influenced by Memphis Depay, whom he admires, and by the Fiel support that impressed him when he faced them. His wife is willing to leave Rio de Janeiro for São Paulo.

Botafogo would agree to release the midfielder only with financial compensation, a condition Corinthians consider out of the question.
A further meeting between the clubs is expected in the coming days.
Coach Martin Anselmi is very keen on striker Pedro Raul, who could be included in a potential player swap.
