Fluminense squad get Monday off after 20 days

Fluminense beat Santos 3-2 last Sunday in the 12th round of the Brazilian Championship and remains firmly in pursuit of leaders Palmeiras. After the win, the Tricolor squad returned to Rio de Janeiro and will have a day off this Monday (20) to rest from this long run of matches. This is the squad’s first day off after 20 full days.

The Tricolor squad was supposed to have a day off last week after the derby against Flamengo, but after the match date was changed, the team ended up not getting that break. Fluminense returns to training this Tuesday (21) to begin preparations for the clash against Operário in the Copa do Brasil this Thursday (23).
