Tomorrow evening the Celtic Fans Collective holds its second meeting at Gracies in the Merchant City. The Monday Night Meeting will be discussed and thereafter the next steps as the Celtic support looks to influence change at the club and make Celtic better in so many aspects.

There has been generally a negative response to how the meeting actually went and that has been mostly to do with the responses from the club rather than the input from the Celtic supporters in the Jock Stein lounge on the night, although there has also been talk of them having been played by the Celtic executives. As we’ve mentioned already ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’ and last Monday represented a start – and it maybe a long road – to changing Celtic for the better.

Talking of Rome, one of Celtic supporters asked about Celtic selling Europa League tickets at full price with no concessions available to non-season ticket holders and the answer from the club was that this was to protect the value for season ticket holders. Celtic explained but also defended their position but the mood on the night was that this was wrong and that they as season ticket holders would rather kids and pensioners to be able to see Celtic – and fill the empty seats – rather than be priced out of attending.

Well here’s an example of progress that The Celtic Fans Collective has made, it’s tangible, it’s from the club, albeit quietly, but it a victory.

Celtic sent this message – shown below – to a supporter who has purchased tickets for the Europa League match gains AS Roma:

“Thank you for your recent purchase of tickets for our forthcoming UEFA Europa League match against AS Roma and your support of the team.

We wish to advise you that the Club will be making concession prices available for non-Season Tickert holder general sale tickets for the match v FC Utrecht on 29 January, 2026.

While we do not offer general sale concessions for every match, following supporter feedback and requests, we are pleased to be able to do so for our last two league phase home matches in this year’s Europa League competition.”

As the concession prices will apply to the game against Roma (but not unfortunately Sturm Graz) the fan who purchased Roma tickets has been offered a refund to lower his tickets to the concession rates and that will apply across the board for U16s and over 65s.

There’s is also hope that the Club sort out the attendance of a supporter at the upcoming meeting with Police – as requested by the fans las Monday – and will also move towards accepting a Fan Advisory Board plus formally recognising the Celtic Fans Collective as the new representative voice of the wider Celtic support.

However that’s all still to be decided but this movement on ticket is an example of a positive outcome for the Celtic supporters attending the meeting last week.

It’s a start but it is a tangible sign that the Club are prepared to listen to the Celtic support and that has to be welcomed. It’s also a success for the Celtic Fans Collective, the first of many to come.
