The conversation then turned to Inzaghi, with whom Mkhitaryan spent three successful seasons at Inter.

The midfielder recalled the achievements and the strong bond within the group during that period.

“I spent three years with him and we have wonderful memories together,” Mkhitaryan explained. “We won the league, two Supercoppe and a Coppa Italia, and of course we also enjoyed ourselves a lot.”

On Inzaghi’s move to Saudi Arabia, Mkhitaryan was clear and respectful.

“The decision to leave Inter and come here was his choice. I wish him all the best in this new phase. Everyone makes their own decisions, you have to accept them and move on.”

He also praised Inzaghi’s qualities as a coach, suggesting a meeting could even happen during the tournament.

“I really wish him every success,” Mkhitaryan added. “He’s an excellent coach, he knows what he’s doing and what he needs to do. Then, of course, the rest will depend on him and his team, on how they play and the kind of football they produce.”

For Mkhitaryan, the message was clear: gratitude for the past, respect for the decision, and full focus on Inter’s present objectives.
