Former Barcelona star ‘dreams’ of return to the club | OneFootball

A former member of the defensive ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona is keen on a return to Catalunya’s capital this month.

The player in question? João Cancelo.

Full-back Cancelo is understood to be available for transfer with a view to the 2nd half of the campaign.

Out of favour at Saudi outfit Al-Hilal, a return to Europe therefore appears to be on the cards for the Portuguese over the weeks ahead.

Barcelona are one such outfit to have been tipped as a potential landing spot, amid an ongoing search on the part of the Blaugrana for reinforcements at the back.

And if the latest word stemming from the media this weekend is anything to go by, then Cancelo himself appears to be extremely keen on the prospect of a Blaugrana reunion.

As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano, speaking on his official YouTube channel:

‘Cancelo is waiting to see what happens with Barcelona. He dreams of a return.’

It now remains to be seen just how keen Deco and co. are on the prospect…
