In their search for a new successor, AS Monaco have sounded out multiple targets, including former Juventus and Bologna manager Thiago Motta, according to a report from Fabrizio Romano.

Adi Hutter remains in the managerial position at Monaco. However, it is L’Équipe’s understanding that the Principality club envisage sacking the Austrian following a poor start to the season. Even though Monaco currently sit fifth in Ligue 1 and drew against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League last week, performances have fallen short of expectations; Hutter himself has admitted that.

Former Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic has emerged as the frontrunner, however, Motta was also sounded out as part of Monaco’s search. It is Romano’s understanding that the Italian manager did not show an interest in taking the place in the dugout at the Stade Louis II, as he awaits a project that suits him. Monaco will therefore turn to other targets.
