Former Liverpool attacker Daniëls joins Burnley | OneFootball

Former Liverpool attacker Yana Daniëls has joined FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division club Burnley on a free transfer.

The Clarettes announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

The 33-year-old Belgian international joins Burnley after leaving Liverpool earlier this summer. Daniëls enjoyed two spells on Merseyside between 2018 and 2019 and from 2021 to 2025. The attacker made 100 appearances for The Reds in total in which she scored six goals. Daniëls was a Barclays WSL2 winner with Liverpool back in 2021/2022.

Daniëls has a wealth of experience in the English game and she will be hoping to help Burnley achieve promotion from the third tier this season.

After joining Burnley, Daniëls said “It feels amazing to be here!

“I like the setting of the training ground and Burnley have such big plans going forwards with the women’s team, so the move felt right.

“England feels like home to me now and gives me the opportunity to enjoy life outside of football, which I think is really important.

“The people here have been really friendly too, and it feels like a family club.”

The move to Burnley will see Daniëls reunite with former boss Matt Beard who recently became the Lancashire club’s new manager.
